Event Details - History Center Family Day: World War II

In conjunction with the week of Veteran’s day, the History Center takes a look at the defining event of the 20th century, World War II during this Family Day, titled World War II: Home Front and War Front.

We’ll explore how the war was experienced by those in the military, by the workers in factories supplying them, and the civilians – men, women, and children of all races and creeds – who lived through the tumultuous times of a world at war. With a special focus on the home front in Georgia, this event will include Oral Histories by Veterans, Museum Theatre performances, displays, hands-on activities, living history interpretation and demonstrations of the common soldier’s weapons and equipment.
